About TechWriters
TechWriters is an independent international magazine and knowledge base about technical documentation, documentation engineering, tools, standards, and the profession itself.
The project traces its history back to TechWriters.ru, a Russian-language technical writing community founded in 2006. TechWriters.org is the new editorial publication: multilingual, independent, and focused on practical material that can be maintained for years rather than disposable news posts.
We write and edit the publication ourselves. The main editorial source repository is private; readers do not edit published articles directly. Corrections, proposed replacements, and event suggestions are collected through the public TechWriters Feedback repository and reviewed by the editors before publication.
Our editorial principle is simple: an article should demonstrate what it teaches. An article about code must contain useful code; an article about tables must show tables; an article about review should include a real review process. We prefer fewer useful pages to a large volume of generic text.
The main editorial office is now based in Bar, Montenegro. TechWriters remains an international publication and is published in English, Russian, and additional configured languages.
